Don't forget to moisturise!!!!

Hi Girls

Today I wanted to talk to you about body moisturisers because since I have been back from Corfu my skin has been soo dry and has also started to peel which I hate. To try and stop the peeling and put some moisture back in my skin I have been using a few different moisturisers so I thought I would tell you about a few of them. I was really naughty in Corfu and laid in the sun all day every day and although I had plenty of suncream on and made sure I re-applied throughout the day I did burn a little bit on my chest and arms so they are the areas that are peeling most. I also didn't take any body moisturiser away with me so I now that I am home my skin is constantly feeling dry which I hate.

£25 for 200ml at John Lewis
So the first moisturiser I have been using for my arms, chest and stomach is the from the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream line and it is their Intensive Moisturising Body Treatment. This product is amazing! It has stopped me peeling almost completely and my skin feels so soft and moisturised after I have used this. The feeling lasts all day which is great as it means I only have to moisturise once I get out the shower and that's it for the day. It isn't greasy and soaks in to my skin straight away which is something I really like in a body moisturiser as I don't like having to wait for it to dry before I can get dressed. The only one downside to this product is that because it is from the Eight Hour Cream collection it does have the same sort of smell as the original cream although it isn't as strong and I can't even smell it anymore but my boyfriend hates the smell of it and can tell instantly if I have it on. However I am willing to smell a little strange in return for having silky smooth skin that's not peeling.

The second moisturiser I am using just on my legs is the Nivea Irresistibly Smooth Body Lotion. I also really like this moisturiser but it isn't as thick as the Elizabeth Arden one which is why I am not using it on my upper body to stop the peeling. It is however very moisturising and leaves my legs feeling perfectly smooth and in no way dry at all. I do use this in the morning and at night just because it isn't as thick and therefore doesn't last as long but my legs are never as dry as the rest of my body for some reason so this is perfect. I may also take this with me when I go away again in August just to use all over every night so that I don't come home in the same state that I did this time.
£3.56 for 250ml in Boots

Overall I think for an everyday moisturiser I would choose the Nivea Irresistibly Smooth body lotion because on a daily basis throughout the year I do not need the thick intensive moisture that the Elizabeth Arden Moisturiser gives. Plus the Nivea one is a lot cheaper and comes in a bigger bottle :)

Have a great day girls

I'm Back and Bronzed....

Hi Girls

Sorry I haven't posted for well over a week now but as I mentioned in previous posts I have been away on holiday in Corfu for a week and I was soo busy in the run up I didn't have time to do all the posts I wanted to about which products I was taking and things. But don't fear I am going away again in 8 weeks so I will make sure I do all the posts I wanted to do about holidays then.

I really missed blogging whilst I was away but I had an amazing trip and it was my first holiday away with my best friend and we just had the best time ever! The weather was gorgeous and sooo warm which I love and I did get a tan but made sure I stayed safe and used plenty of sun cream everyday!

So now that I am back I will make sure I am much better at blogging and will hopefully get at least 4 posts up a week if possible. I have plenty of ideas of things to write about that I hope you will be interested in and will enjoy. But for now I will leave you with a few pictures from my trip.

Have a great day girls xx

My Daily Skincare Routine

So today I thought I would tell you about my daily skin routine and I know I have done a full review on the Soap & Glory Hot Cloth Cleanser which I use everyday but I thought I would tell you about the other products I am using at the moment. Now I am currently using quite expensive products which i was given but my skin is in such good condition and I think this is partly down to the hot cloth cleanser but mostly down to these products so if you are fortunate enough to be able to afford these then I would definitely recommend them.
In the morning if I feel my skin is still a bit dirty from the night before I will use the Hot Cloth Cleanser by Soap & Glory, however most mornings my skin is fine and just needs a basic cleanse and moisturiser. So the first product I have been using recently is the Decleor Cleansing Milk which is lovely. It has a really nice scent as well because it has essential oils and waters in it. The ingredients say it has lavender, orange and kiwi scents in it which I love. I just rub this all over my face with my fingertips and then wipe off with a cotton pad and you would be amazed at the dirt that comes off even though I take my make up off a night. Its quite gross really!

Then i pour some of the Decleor Tonifying Lotion on to a cotton pad and wipe it all over my face. This is just like water and just makes my skin feel so fresh and clean. It has the same scent as the Cleansing Milk so again I love it. Both of these Decleor products are available from the Decleor website and are £19.50 for 250ml which is not bad for such amazing products but I know its not exactly cheap when you buy both products a few times a year. The final step in my skincare routine in the mornings is to moisturise. Currently I am using the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Intensive Daily Moisturiser for Face SPF 15 which I love but at £28 for 50ml it is definitely not something I can afford to keep using whilst I'm a student. This product makes my skin soo soft and although I have quite oily skin this does not make my skin greasy at all and soaks in so quickly. The only issue I have with this product is the smell. Because it is part of the Eight Hour collection it has a similar smell to the original Eight Hour cream which although it is a miracle worker, STINKS! This moisturiser is nowhere near as bad as that but it does have a softer version of the scent. It isn't an issue though as the good points definitely out weigh the bad and I will be soo upset when my tube of this runs out because it will be a while till I can afford another one.

At night before I go to bed I remove all my make-up with the hot cloth cleanser and then slather Nivea Soft moisturising cream all over my face. My mum has used this moisturiser for years and she has amazing skin so I'm hoping it will have the same effect on me. It does make my skin a bit greasy though which is why i wear it at night, its also a lot thicker than the one I use during the day so I like it much better as a night moisturiser. This is available almost everywhere I just get mine when my mum does the weekly shopping from Tescos and it is £3.88 for a big 200ml pot which lasts ages.

I hope you have found this interesting and if you try any of these products let me know what you think of them or if you have an amazing skincare product that you want to tell me about just leave a comment or email me.

Veet Hair Minimising Moisturiser.

Last week I did a post about Veets new hair minimising moisturiser. I have now been using it for the recommended 2 week period so thought I would give you an update on how it went. I really was hoping for great things from this moisturiser and I think that may be why i am a little disappointed. I guess I was hoping for silky smooth legs for weeks on end just by using this product for 2 weeks and that was a little unrealistic. Even though the hair on my legs ( where I have been testing the lotion) is still growing back after I have shaved it is now much finer and I can go up to 4 days without shaving when before I was shaving every 2 days so I think that is a huge benefit in itself. The lotion is also a pretty good moisturiser and did leave my legs feeling really nice after I had used the product which was nice and it smells pretty good too.

So overall I would buy the moisturiser again and although it hasn't stopped the hair all together it has made it less of a chore to shave which I am thankful for.
If you are interested in purchasing the veet for yourself I have inserted a link and please let me know how you find it after the two week trial. I may keep using it for another 2 weeks and do an update if there is any change.Veet from amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004ZEMPZA/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=girlunde-21&linkCode=as2&camp=1634&creative=6738&creativeASIN=B004ZEMPZA

In love with LOVE

This is a different sort of post for this blog as it is about a clothing website that I have recently found and thought all of you girls should know about it too! The website is www.inlovewithfashion.com and it is the Love brand that can be found in Topshop. I had never heard of this brand before as I'm more of a Miss Selfridge than Topshop kinda girl but my mum received an email for £12 off from the site so we thought we would take a look. I fell in love as soon as I clicked on the dress pages! Now I'm a big dress fan and have dresses for every occasion so this was like heaven for me. The dresses are quite girly and feminine with lots of flowy fabrics and floral print but I really like that for summer. They are quite similar to the ones you can find in Miss Selfridge which I think is why I was drawn to them. I did end up purchasing a dress and it was this burnt orange shirt dress.

Sorry the quality of the picture isn't great.
I think this is gorgeous and I'm really hoping it comes before Saturday as I am having a BBQ with some friends and think this will look great with some brown gladiator sandals. If it does come in time I may do and outfit of the day post to show you all how it looks. This dress was £32 which i thought was really good especially since I got an extra £12 off making it £20 with free delivery to the UK and Northern Ireland at the moment but I'm not sure if this is always the case. International shipping is available on request so everyone can get in on the action. I also signed up to the site and got an extra 10% off if I order something within the next 48 hours but I don't think the bank manager would thank me if I ordered again this soon.

Let me know if you have any items by Love or if you purchase anything following this post as I would love to be nosey and see what things you like.

Happy shopping and have a great day

Soap & Glory Mini-series - Hand Food

*I did not take this photo

I LOVE this product and think I will be buying this for a very long time. I actually brought this for my mum a few weeks ago and somehow it has ended up in my handbag with half the contents gone already ( I promise I will replace it for my mum). This is the perfect hand cream, its not too greasy but it makes your hands feel really moisturised and as if you've used a real luxury product on them. The smell of this hand cream is SO good I could eat it which is always a good thing to have in a product. This product is only £2.35 for 50ml which is the perfect size for your handbag and it is also available in a larger size to keep at home which I may purchase as well just so there is no chance of me running out!
This is the last product i have to review from the Soap & Glory range and if i could persuade you to buy one product it would be this one as everybody can use it and I think everyone will love it. I hope you have enjoyed this little mini-series and let me know if you'd like me to do something like this again then feel free to let me know.
