So much to do, So little time...

WeHeartIt.com
This is how I feel at the moment. For anyone currently at university this is probably how you feel too, its the last few weeks before exams and all assignments are due in within days of each other. I wish I had time to sit at my computer and write on here about all the different things I am loving at the moment but I am lucky if I have time to eat and sleep right now.
 My current routine is:
  • Wake up
  • Work out
  • Go to uni
  • Come home from uni
  • Do more uni work
  • Work out again
  • Go to bed
Sounds really exciting doesn't it! Luckily I have today off uni so I have a bit of time to just let you know that although I really want to be blogging all the time, over the next few weeks my posts may be less regular and sometimes it may seem like I've given up but I haven't and I am storing ideas up to make this summer all about blogging.

I hope you stick with me over these next 4 weeks and I was thinking of maybe doing some exam revision and tips posts but I don't know how many of you are still in education and would find it useful?

Let me know in the commentes below and I will still be reading and replying to all your comments and emails so don't stop doing that because it is my favourite way to relax after a long day.

Have a great day girls and if you are in England today and the weather is as good as it is where I am then go have fun in the sun for me!

Candles aren't just for cake...

I am obsessed with candles and have been for some time now. Because I live with my parents I have to contain myself to just having candles lit in my bedroom but I have quite a collection now which I love to burn either all together or at different time of the year. I thought it would be easier to insert promo photos instead of taking my own because mine do not look as pretty and new anymore.

My all time favourite candle is Yankee Candle 'Vanilla Cupcake', this candle smells so good you could almost eat it! (Please don't eat it though, I'm sure it doesn't taste as good as it smells). The candle makes my room smell like cakes and why would you not want that?

My second favourite I only discovered at Christmas when I was looking to buy another 'Vanilla Cupcake' and that is the Yankee candle 'Christmas Cookie'. These smell soo similar I can't even tell the difference between them. Its so sweet and vanillary and if I burn both of these together it like I live in a cake shop.

I also really like Sandalwood Vanilla from the Yankee Candle range too and I only found this a few months ago and it reminded me of Givenchy - Play Intense which is one of my favourite perfumes so I had to pick the candle up too.

Other the Yankee Candles which are pretty expensive I really like the Glade candles which you can pick up from local supermarkets for about £2. My favourite scents from Glade are the Honey & Chocolate scent which for some reason just reminds me of Christmas and winter, my other favourite that I am burning right now is Bali Sandalwood & Jasmin which is so fresh and makes me want to be walking along a beach somewhere warm.

What are your favourite candles and can you recommend any others similar to these?

Have a great day girls!

Review: Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer

In my 7 Deadly Sins of Beauty post a few weeks ago I mentioned that I always forget to use primer and hadn't actually repurchased one since my GOSH one ran out. Well whilst I was in boots last week I picked up the Rimmel Fix & Perfect pro primer, I got it in 002 because its all they had which is a creamy colour but I think 001 may be clear but I'm not sure.

The consistency is nice and it feels nice on my skin which is good. Normally I can't see a difference when I use primer but this actually really compliments my foundation and makes it look flawless. I think in the summer I could possibly just use this instead of foundation as it does make my skin look really good.

The only negative point I have to make about this primer is the smell. It is quite strong and almost chemical ish. But you don't notice it when its on the skin so overall I really like this product and can see myself using it a lot this year.

You can but Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer at Boots for £6.99.

Have a great day girls!

Ballet Pump Haul

Whilst I was in Leeds at the weekend the sun was shinning and I had that feeling you get when you know its going to get warmer and summer is on its way. So whilst I was shopping I ignored all the jumpers, scarfs and boots and focused on pastel shirts and ballet pumps.

No matter how much I love winter and everything about it including the chance to wear boots everyday, there is nothing better than the first day when can wear ballet pumps without your feet freezing. However I realised that I have thrown most of mine from last year out mainly because I don't like spending lots of money on pumps because I tend to get them dirty or ruin them in some way or another. So I normally buy cheap ones from primark, wear them for a few months and then throw them out. Some of you may think that is really bad but its just the way I am.

So when  I was in Primark at the weekend I purchased two pairs of ballet pumps. This first are just patent black ones with fabric bows on the front which I really like and they are just a basic shoe that I will probably wear all the time. They were £5 and are actually really comfortable which I was supprised about because usually I have blisters and cuts the first time I wear new shoes.

The second pair are a cream pair with black piping around the top with a black chiffon bow on the front. I love these so much but I know I will probably ruin them the first time I wear them outside so I may have to purchase more than one pair before the end of summer.

The final pair I purchased a few weeks ago in Miss Selfridge which is probably my favourite shop but I hate paying the prices they charge for things so I tend to shop there mostly in the sales or when I get vouchers for birthdays or christmas. I saw these shoes and instantly fell in love with them. I think they look so expensive and almost designer so when I looked at the price and saw they were reduced to £10 I snapped them up.

Do you have any favourite spring shoes??

Have a great day girls!

My Scent of February

I haven't actually brought any fragrances this month but if I was to go out and pick one then there would be one clear winner. That winner would be the Soap &Glory Eau De Soap and Glory Original Pink. It is the classic Soap and Glory scent in a perfume and if you have read any of my previous S&G posts you will know I always say how much I love the scent.

As you know I am not the best a describing scents so I thought I would just tell you what the perfume experts have to say about it. 'Eau de Soap & Glory Original™ perfume spray with fresh citrus top notes of orange leaf, lemon, peach and sweet strawberries, with a sparkling heart of mandarin, summer rose, gardenia blooms and jasmine, resting on a soft woody base of patchouli, warm amber and lush musks.' Pretty much sums it up really.

If you love the smell of 'Hand food' and 'The Rightous Butter' then you will love this scent as much as I do and for £16.50 for 50mls at Boots why not treat yourself to a bottle this month.

Have a great day girls!

Review: No 7 Vital Brights Cream Blush

Today I decided to review No.7's new cream blush. Whilst I was in Leeds last weekend I picked up another item from their new spring collection and that was the Vital Brights Cream Blush in Blooming Pink. This is the first cream blush I have tried and am happy to say that I am impressed. I was scared to try it at first as in the pan it is quite a bright coral colour and I think if I put it on wrong I would have looked like a clown or one of them scary china dolls both of which are not the look I aim for.

The formulation is really nice and although it is a cream blush it does not make my skin feel oily or sticky which was also a worry for me as I tend to get quite oily skin. The blush costs £10 available at Boots and also comes in a gorgeous bright pink called 'Blossoming Pink' which I may also have to purchase.

I don't know what it is with the No7 spring collections but I always find myself lusting after them and end up buying quite a few products from the line. I absolutely love the highlighter which looks beautiful on the skin and I never normally bother with highlighters but this may have to also be purchased. Oh and the packaging on the blush is much better than the lipsticks.

Go take a look on the Boots website at the new collection and let me know what you think.

Have a great day girls!

Lip Product Haul

Over the last few weeks my make up has tended to stay the same and I have got into a little routine of how I do my face and eyes, but one thing I have been switching up and changing is my lip colour. Up until last summer I stuck with quite neutral lip colours. I can never wear the really nude colours such as Gosh's 'Darling' (even though I try every now and again) because my lips are naturally a dark rose colour. Although I still love the classic your lips but better colours I am becoming a bit braver and trying some different shades.

In the last week I have brought 3 lip products ranging from a safe rose pink to an out there bright red.

The first one is from the new No7 spring line which they have just launched. My first real beauty post on this blog last year was about the No7 spring line so when I saw they had released a new one I couldn't wait to try it. The lipstick I purchase was the colour 'Blossoming Pink', it is a deep rose colour that makes my lips look natural but gives them that extra shine. The colour is similar to 'Grace' from last years spring collection and mine is just running out so this is a nice replacement. The only thing I do not like about this product is the packaging. It is just a cheap plain white plastic tube and I think the rest of the collections packaging is so much prettier than this.

The second product I purchased was a lip gloss from Barry M in number 11. I purchased this because Tanya Burr or Pixi2woo raved about it being her favourite lipgloss and I love how she does her make up so thought I would give it a go. I love everything about this lip gloss, the colour is a gorgeous coral that although doesn't show up as bright on the lips, still gives an amazing shine. The smell is also amazing which is also a bonus, its a good job it doesn't taste as good as it smells else I would probably just eat it instead.

The final product I brought was a bit of an impulse buy. Barry M had an offer on certain products that if you brought two you got them for £7. So when I picked up the lip gloss above I saw that the 'Lip Lacquer Crayons' were also in the offer. I think Louise from Sprinkleofglitter has mentioned this before and I thought it was time to be brave so I went for the really bright red which is shade 2. I have worn this twice now and I love it however it is a bit hard to apply as it is so bright and it marks your whole face if it goes wrong. However when it goes right it is so gorgeous and has a sort of metalic shine to it which brightens your whole face.

What are your favourite lip products right now?

Have a great day girls.

Tag: The 7 Deadly Sins of Beauty.

I thought I would do a nice easy post today, I've seen this tag on youtube a lot recently so I thought I would give it a go.

1. GREED:
  • What is your most inexpensive beauty item?
My most inexpensive beauty item that I use on a regular basis is my Natural Collection 'Sun Tint Bronzing Powder' which is £1.99 from Boots. I have been using this bronzer for over a year now and am on my third pot of it which shows how much i love it. I tend to use it more in the winter as it doesn't show up as well when I'm tanned.
  •  What is your most expensive?

The most expensive beauty item I own is my Naked pallet which I adore and it is so worth the £32 I paid for it. I use it every day and would be lost without it.
2. WRATH:
  • What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with?
The beauty product that I have a love/hate relationship with is my Garnier 'BB cream'. I love the concept of this product and think it would be such a good alternative to foundation in the summer for me but I just hate the formulation and the way it looks on my skin.
  • What product has been the hardest to get?
The product which I have found the hardest to get is again my Naked pallet from Urban Decay. I got mine about 2 months after everybody else because I just couldn't find it anywhere near me and it was sold out online. It was only when I flew to Cyprus last summer that I saw it in the in-flight duty free magazine and HAD to buy it!

3. GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products?

By delicious I assume it means the smell and not the taste as nothing I own tastes that good. But I love my soap and glory 'Hand food' and 'The righteous butter'. They both have the signature Soap & Glory smell and it is one of my favourite scents ever.

4. SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?

The one product that I neglect when I really shouldn't is primer. I have quite oily skin so when I do use primer it really helps. I ran out of the primer I was using a few months ago and keep forgetting to repurchase it. I really will go get a new one this week I just have to choose a good one first so any recommendations would be great.

5. PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?

Mascara gives me the most self confidence. I love having dramatic sexy eyelashes and I think it makes eyes look even more gorgeous if you have a coat or two of mascara on.

6. LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?

I always look at a boys eyes and smile before anything else. If a boy smiles and laughs then he will always be more attractive than someone who doesn't.

7. ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?

Right now I am in love with Nars Blush bronzer trio so if anybody fancies sending one of those my way I would be extremely grateful. If not maybe I'll treat myself next payday :)

Of course I tag all of you to do this and let me know so that I can go read yours!

Have a great day

Lemsip and lots of tea....

I have been struck down by either a horrible alien bug that is making me very ill or perhaps possibly just your common cold, either way the only cure I have found so far is staying in bed all day and watching the first season of Vampire Diaries (which I am now hooked on!). I am starting to get a little bit bored though so if you have any requests of posts that do not require me getting out of bed then please let me know and save me from the awful morning TV shows that I am sure to indulge in tomorrow morning.

Thanks in advance and I can assure you that once the alien bug has left me there will be much more exciting posts to come. For now I will make myself my trillionth cup of tea of the day and settle myself down to watch Youtube videos.

Have a great day girls and try not to get sick!

My Scent of January

I thought I would do a new series of posts on this blog called 'My scent of...' and every month I will tell you all about a perfume I am loving. I don't buy new perfumes every month but I do love going into Boots or Debenhams and smelling the different perfumes, so if I smell one that I think is really different or nice I will make it my scent of the month.

This months scent is actually one that I brought at the beginning of January and it is Vera Wang's 'Princess Night'. Now I love Vera Wang and especially her perfumes, I own 'Princess' and 'LoveStruck' and the thing that always draws me in is the packaging. 'Princess Night' is no different, the packaging for this perfume is stunning, it is in the same bottle as the original 'Princess' but is covered in black glitter. I was worried that it would cover my hands every time I picked it up but so far it hasn't come off at all.
Sorry the picture is not my own, having problems with my camera atm.
I am no good at describing scents so I will just tell you that it has heart notes of Jasmine Petals, Spicy Orange Blossom, Passion Rose, top notes of Wild Berries, Watermelon, Sweet Raspberry and base notes of Crushed Sugar, Sensual Musk, Vanilla. And I think it smells delicious.

You can buy it here
Hope your all okay

Have a great day

If you had a million pounds...

What would you buy?

I seem to have a list that goes on forever of things I'd like and that I tell myself I will buy next time I see it but in reality money always seems to stop those purchases. Its not even that I want things that cost thousands of pounds but all the little things soon add up and it can come to a staggering amount of money on such materialist things that I can quite easily go without. I tend to have huge shopping spree's where I spend a ridiculous amount and spend the rest of the month feeling guilty about it even though I work hard for that money. Is it just me or do you get like this too?

So if I had £1 million pounds I think I would feel a lot less guilty about treating myself to a splurge in Mac or a new pair of shoes. So my question for you is...If you had to be completely selfish and buy yourself something up to the value of £1million what would it be? And would you feel bad about it afterwards???

Have a great day girls

New Years Resolutions

I don't tend to make New Years resolutions because I never seem to be able to stick to them but this year I've got two and hopefully I will stay strong and achieve both of them. The first involves you guys and this blog, I am going to try and blog 5 days a week every week for the rest of the year. I'm not promising big reviews every day but I will at least put up an outfit of the day or a overview of what I have done during the day. Also if you want me to write about anything in particular then just let me know because I'm sure I will run out of ideas. I know I'm always saying I am going to post more and never actually do so this time I need you all to keep me going and if I start to slack then message me and let me know please. The second resolution I have is a personal one and it is to lose a stone by summer. Now I know I'm not massively obese but I have gained a lot of weight over the last 2 years and I really want to get back to how I was a few years ago so maybe I will do a few posts on how that is going as well just to keep me motivated.

So starting from today there will be at least 5 posts a week ( A week being Monday to Sunday) for you to look forward to.

Hope you all had a great New Year and I can't wait to share the next one with you!
